History

Dedicated to Excellence in Marine Services.

Bordelon Marine was founded by Terry and Gerry Bordelon in 1979 under the name “ Gulf Operations Incorporated” and was later renamed “Bordelon Marine”. Over the years the Bordelon Family built a solid reputation as a vessel owner/operator. The company originally began primarily operating vessels supporting oilfield operations in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico. Wes Bordelon took the helm of Bordelon Marine in 1999 as a second generation owner at the end of a cycle of the family business that had seen several periods of growth and decline since its inception. Beginning in 2001 Mr. Bordelon implemented a program that ultimately rebuilt the fleet of vessels through newbuilds and acquisitions while simultaneously diversifying and solidifying the company customer base. In 2010 Bordelon Marine acquired the land to build Bordelon Marine Shipbuilders in Houma, LA. The shipyard was purpose built to deliver the Stingray Series 260’ DP2 vessel. The first Stingray vessel, the MV Connor Bordelon was delivered in 2013 and additional Stingray vessels are currently under construction at the Bordelon shipyard. Bordelon Marine currently operates offices in both Lockport and Houma, Louisiana. Bordelon Marine currently owns and operates both mini-supply vessels and the Stingray series DP2 vessels servicing a diverse client base in shallow and deep-water operations around the world.
